Its official, the momentum at which Apple sold the iPad in the first month continues. Apple has proudly announced that the iPad has sold 2 million units in under 60 days. The iPad 3G version went on sale recently and Apple has also taken the device out of US now (in 9 countries) with strong demand. Reports of thin stock on Apples part is still coming in regularly and Steve Jobs has commented that Apple is trying hard to meet the demand.
“Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.”
